Does anyone know if there is a hard limit on the number of majors and minors you can take in the Bachelor of Arts. I think I read somewhere a while ago that you can take a maximum of 2 majors, but I couldn’t see/don’t remember any limit for minors. Is this right? I specifically want to know if I am able to take 2 majors and 2 minors, and if I am able to take 1 major and 3 minors. WES does let me add both of those combinations, but I’m not sure if it would stop me from adding too many areas of study in the first place. Thanks!
As far as I know, you're permitted to do both scenarios! I did 1 extended major and 2 minors - different to your scenarios, but as long as you satisfy the requirements for each major/minor you list on WES, they'll all be checked and approved when you graduate. The BA at a
minimum needs either 1 major and 1 minor OR 2 majors (all listed under Arts approved areas of study).
It actually might be possible to do 3 majors depending on how someone sets up their course map? I think the degree can only list 2 majors on it though. Minors will not appear on your degree but will appear on your transcripts.
I would still recommend contacting Monash for official confirmation. I suggest using the live chat to save time waiting on the phone.
