Anyone else going into Bachelor of Design at UniMelb next this year?

I have some questions but don't know anyone else doing this course... I'm hoping to double major in Graphic Design / Mechanical Systems, but looking at the study plan, a number of the subjects for Graphic Design come under Fine Art are at the Southbank campus? Am I reading this right? Does this mean I would be required to travel between Parkville and Southbank in between classes? (Assuming they're in person), or are there Fine Art subjects that are also held at Parkville?

Also, what are people's thoughts on the Graphic Design / Mechanical Systems double major? Is it a common combo? I have a graduate degree package for Master of Engineering, where I plan to do mechanical engineering. But I'm also considering Mechanical Systems / Civil Systems double major, just in case I change my mind about mechanical eng. How useful is a graphic design major really?

Thanks!
