Join your school choir!! :) (if you already haven't  ;D)
I did junior and senior choir from yrs 7-10 and I absolutely loved it!! :)

Yes I did have a singing background, but you're never the best at anything are you!!? So day by day, I was improving!!  :D

And woah! Sounds like not being able to sing seems so detrimental to you for living!!!  ;D ;D :D

I think that joining a choir would be a great idea. My school sadly has never had a choir, but if there had been one I would have been in it! I too had a massive singing background though. If you like singing and want to get better, then "where there's a will, there's a way".

True, was mostly thinking about the occasional inability to sleep WHEN I'm tired

Eating noodles in soup without making a humongous mess.
Also how do you use these? I can't get my face in it to eat properly.

But...
                 how?

edit for clarity: It just feels so awkward and strange. I can use chopsticks, but when people expect you to use a "bowl spoon", I feel like I have to tip it all over my face before I can actually get a decent drop in my mouth. What is the technique?

Hmm, I usually just lift the spoon barely high enough and just sip it. (Or I don't and I just bend my head over a little instead.) The spoon becomes unnecessary once the soup gets cool enough.

Unless you have noodles or something in your soup, in which case you use the spoon in your left hand and use it to make sure that the noodles you have on your chopsticks don't fall back into the bowl again.

(Tbh, just like how you have a fork in your LH and a knife in your RH, you do the same with the spoon and chopsticks)
