I think it say that the number of questions can vary?

nah its certain, it happend with my english exam...however!!
it might be questions like
1.a , b , c

or    1 2 3 4 5 6 , where each questions is like 5- 6 marks...........

it's gotten smaller every year!, although your right, it really means nothing, theres just more 1 ai, aii, b,    kind of thing
