Hello
I am having trouble with the nine defences to defamation if the defendant is proved liable.
I can name them all, however I just have trouble understanding them and explaining them.
Can someone please help me and simplify them for me.
Thank you.
The defences are by the way are.
- justification
- contextual truth
- absolute privilege
- Publication of public documents
- Fair report of proceedings of public concern
- Qualified privilege
- Honest opinion
- Innocent dissemination
- Triviality
