im thinking of picking up busman 3 and 4 because the competition in further maths is too much, is this the right decision?

Choose the subject that you feel is the best option for you when taking into account your interests and need (e.g a prerequisite).

I do think it is flawed to pick subjects based on competition because scaling is there to make sure students are not disadvantaged by picking competitive subjects e.g. Specialist Maths, Methods, Chemistry etc

If you ignored the perceived competition in Further, which subject would you prefer (so just in terms of what content you find more interesting etc.)?

Oxford comma, Garamond, Avett Brothers, Orla Gartland enthusiast.

honestly further maths is sooo boring, i picked it as a bludge subject. Busman on the other hand has concepts that don't seem that boring

BUS MAN and Further are completing different.

In my opinion, BUS MAN requires an individual that is able to memorise quite well, be able to apply knowledge in the study design to case study material but often, students who achieve high study scores have a somewhat advanced way of writing and structuring answers.
I would suggest you undertake BUS MAN if your willing to consistently complete practice questions to hand in each lesson to ensure that you can answer any question that comes your way.
IF YOUR GOOD AT WROTE LEARNING FROM A TEXTBOOK, be prepared to receive mediocre scores in next years sacs and exam if you undertake BUS MAN. BUT, if you are advanced in "reading between the lines" and using past knowledge to interpret information, I highly suggest you choose BUS MAN
If your math's abilities are advanced, I would advise you to focus on your strengths rather than the fierce comp.

I WISH u the best of luck!

Hey!

Sorry I only just saw this, but figured best to give you a concrete answer.  :)

In terms of similarities, there are some. There is interpretation of tables/graphs/pie charts in both, I know I had some on my BusMan SACs and my friends had similar in Eco. However, Eco is far more mathematical. In BM, the most maths you'll have to do is seeing which line is higher and observing the axes, whereas I've heard it's far more complex in Eco.
