Potentially useful for future students in selecting their subjects. :D

If you're looking for examples, check out the VCE equivalent here.

English Advanced - Difficult to ace without excessive prep
English Ext - Only good if your teacher's competent
Maths - Boring... trek and a half
Legal - Thought provoking, best subject, your marks are basically ascertained from an assessment of your ability to talk shit about the government
Economics - So difficult to wrap your head around a lot of concepts. Rote learning is impotent here, be prepared to invest. A lot. Multi choice is legit the hardest part - indeed it is the epitome of a mental marathon.
Multimedia - Don't do it if your cohort is full of dropkicks - it makes the teacher a dropkick too.
HSC 2018 (ATAR 96.35) - English Advanced (96) | Mathematics General (87) | Legal Studies (94) | Economics (89) | Industrial Technology (94)

Mathematics: calculus everywhere, must add +C
Physics: history 2.0, does math even exist?
Society & Culture: society, culture, persons, time, environment
Modern History: juicy gossip and petty dictators
History Extension: What does objectivity even mean?
Studies of Religion 1: compulsory because of Catholic school

And tribute to my previous subject:
Extension 1 Math: no one likes circle geo ;-;
2018 HSC: English Advanced | Mathematics | Physics | Modern History | History Extension | Society and Culture | Studies of Religion I

ATAR: 93.60

2019: Aerospace Engineering (Hons)  @ UNSW

HSC physics: history 2.0, GOLD haha....

English Standard: spoonfed, straightforward modules, easy texts (to understand)
Chemistry: Tasting science, salt overdose, classroom rant, KMnO_4 poisoning, Le Chat principle shifting my atar to -99.95
Physics: HSC fake science- too much humanities, doping, hardly any maths
Maths 3U: 3 people class, lots of interesting theorems, hate circle geo, decent calculus
Maths 4U: 2 people class, hardcore, PS'=ePM, more advanced calculus, highly intuitive

Given how disappointed I am with half-yearly report and super slow recovery, I am considering to withdraw from HSC to cool my head and prep without pressure
2018 HSC: 4U maths, 3U maths, Standard English, Chemistry, Physics

Adv English: Discovery (*shudder*), context, key values, lots and lots of essays, questioning how your teacher manages to place metaphorical meaning on everything
Genny Maths: Apparently a two mark maths question requires a paragraph to explain that you have to add 2+2, STANDARD DEVIATION (*shudder*), "what the hell are they trying to make us find?"
Society and Culture: Studying people, societies and cultures in different environments at different times
Business Studies: Operations (yeah, alright), Marketing (Interesting of), Finance (what the hell??), Human Resources (meh)
Modern History: Gavilo Princip wanting a sandwich started ww1, lots of dictators with big egos, America is a bully, historiography and lots of discussions

More than a few words i know but they sum up legit all my subjects
"Live life like a pineapple. Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside"

"May you grow up to be righteous; may you grow up to be true. May you always know the truth and see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong"

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire"

Advice for starting year 12
An open letter to my School Friends
Would 10 year old you be proud of who you are?
