Got my first WAM change of the semester... surprised it's out before the end of the exam period. I'm pretty sure it's Techniques in Operations Research, a couple of people I know who are doing the subject have also gotten a WAM change.

I think there were about 60, but maths subjects results tend to come out sooner than other subjects.

At least one of COMP20005, MAST20026, MAST20004 and FINA20026 is out. I'm thinking that was COMP20005.

Nicely done! My WAM has dropped from 85 to 82, not the worst thing in the world, but RIP PhD scholarship(s).

Does anybody know the approximate time taken between change of WAM and Subject result published?
I have had my WAM change twice in the last three days, but no offical published results and the guessing game is driving me CRAZYY

Either BMEN30005 or BMEN30006 or both came out, hopefully it's BMEN30005 only cos that exam was fked and my result was better than I expected.
Calculated the WAM change and it's a whole number difference if I treat it as 1 subject only

Based on my WAM change I believe it was Genetics. I have 2 other friends who are doing Genetics and had a WAM change as well. Anyway, very pleasantly surprised with how I went!

I think they release it at once. I asked a few people study RA they got update on Friday too. Not exactly sure tho.

BCMB20005 Techniques in Molecular Science just got updated :-\
Update/Edit: Was spooked when I received my score of 75 and knew there had to be a mistake. Ended up emailing the subject coordinator and asking if one of my reports hadn't been added in (I had an extension for that one) and sure enough 20% of my subject score hadn't been updated. Mark went from 75 into the 90s 8) So I guess if you're worried about your mark and there is a discrepancy, email your coordinator as they may have made an error (everyone makes mistakes).

ECON10005 QM 1 was just released.
Anyone know if you can only see the WAM, that would be the final (scaled) mark or would there be more scaling afterwards?
The results that appear before 12th July are subject to change (such as scaling). Based on my past experience however I have not had any subject results change after they were first released (so they were the final mark). Sometimes subject results are already scaled when the result is first released, which happened to Principles of Finance last year.
On another note, do not expect scaling to occur for all subjects. As unfair as it may seem, this is purely based on the subject coordinator's decision. So even though an exam for a subject was super difficult, the final result might not necessarily be scaled.

ECON10004 (micro econ) is out. Didn't get a H1 but actually just happy I passed and didn't get NH.
EDIT: The exam was a hurdle requirement to pass. I honestly thought I failed the exam because I (and a lot of people) found it really hard this year. I think there must have been scaling?

This was literally exactly how I felt this time two years ago! The Intro Micro exam was honestly one of the hardest I’ve done to date (up there with MAST20004), I don’t care how many people say it’s an easy subject. For some perceptive, I even did quite a bit better in Inter Micro.
For even more perspective I did Economics in high school as well so I found the subject as a whole easy (there were a lot of overlap, but micro econ had a LOT more maths). The exam was killer though. I think they just like torturing us :'(

Maybe it could be Investments. I'm doing that, micro 3, and another subject, and I had 2 wam changes this afternoon. My wam's changed, but official scores aren't yet displayed on the results page for me. The situation is legit so sketchy right now haha
EDIT: yep, micro 3 is officially out. And could you please define "heavy scaling" in this context? Just not sure how to interpret my final mark. Thanks

It was NEUR30002 (Neurophysiology: Neurons and Circuits) today... and I did better on that sneaky killer of an exam than I'd anticipated. Sometimes, well, !$%@ doesn't happen.

I've been approved for special consideration for all 3 of my subjects but today I got a result and it states first class honours rather than special exam like I've had in previous semesters. Anyone else who was approved for special consideration have this happen?

Probability for Inference was the most insane subject I've ever done. The amount of rigour and complexity destroyed my soul, and considering I was contemplating dropping out all the way up to the withdraw without fail date, I'm more than ecstatic with a 79 as this, to me, was the best case scenario. Remember everyone, keep persisting and you've got this (which, with a splash of scaling, always works out). Hope everyone else is happy with their results! :)

I know my results are pretty low compared to what the cohort of this forum, but I thought I would just post it in case someone else was feeling sh*t about their results. I'm actually happy with my results because I had some personal circumstances affecting my studies and was expecting to fail some or all of my subjects.
What I will say though, unexpected things can happen and mistakes are made. But that doesn't mean things can't change in the future :)

Yep, just email your lecturer with a request to view your exam, and most likely they'll organise a date for you to do so.

I don't know if this was only me, but for people doing Biological Psychology - when your WAM updated (but the subject mark didn't come out), did anyone else initially calculate a score of 50 and then the WAM changed later on?
EDIT: This happened to a friend and I, when Biopsych was added we calculated the results as 50 but then the WAM updated later on with our actual scores.

Is there any way to know what sort of percentile your wam would be? E.g 85+ = top 3rd percentile etc.

I once met someone who said that 50 is the perfect grade because it represents the most efficient way to get your degree. Can hardly argue with that :p

(I feel like this only applies if you have a massive stack of relevant extracurriculars and work experience, otherwise no job aspect and huge waste of HECS money)

Not particularly happy with my MCB result to be honest. Really wanted an H1, but I didn't do so great on Exam 1.
