Allostatic load & Allostatic overload?

In the Grivas textbook I'm using, it refers to allostatic load as the "wear and tear on the brain and body from cumulative exposure to stressors". What's the difference between allostatic load and allostatic overload?

hey  :) i have the same book

allostatic load is the wear and tear on the body that results from either too much stress or insufficient management of stress
whereas insufficient overload is the extreme point of allostatic loss at which an individual may succumb to a serious physical or mental health problem
There is actually sometimes an unclear distinction between them but basically load is just the wear and tear where as overload is when the wear and tear becomes so great the person can't handle it so it results in a physical or mental health disorder.
