If you wanted to go into honours, some of the techniques that you learn in the majors could be a huge boon going forward.

Also: BIOM30003 is the best subject I did in undergrad - great choice. Do you already have a project/supervisor in mind?

Yeah am thinking of honours. Would you recommend underloading when doing BIOM30003? I wanted to do Techniques for Immunology as well but thought it would be too much.

Hard for me to guess what works better for you, because I did it by itself in the summer semester so I can't compare it to a normal semester load. My personal opinion would be to advise you to underload while doing BIOM30003 given the chance, because most people tend to work more on the project than is typical of a standard subject. I underloaded in sem 2 and in retrospect it was one of the best choices of my undergrad degree - just watch out for a hectic sem 1 (I reckon M2M is harder than Frontiers!)

It will certainly be a really challenging semester, but plenty have done it before.

Apparently there's a nice amount of overlap between HSF and PHRM20001, as well.

#100th post!!! :D

I've taken a massive hiatus off ATARNotes, but I have been secretly lurking around :P Especially the University threads! I just wanted to post something Psychology related as my 100th post but I guess if I keep waiting I'll never get to it ahahaha

My planned subjects are:

February

ISLM20003 - The Qur'an: An Introduction

Semester 1

ARBC10005 - Arabic 1
BCMB20002 - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
EDUC10057 - Wellbeing, Motivation and Performance PSYC20006 - Biological Psychology
FOOD20003 - Food Chemistry, Biology and Nutrition PSYC20008 - Developmental Psychology

Semester 2

ANAT20006 - Principles of Human Structure
PHYS20008 - Human Physiology
PSYC20007 - Cognitive Psychology

I have those two breadths in Semester 1 but I'm not sure if I want to swap EDUC10057 for PSYC20008 (Developmental Psychology). I wanted to take as many breadths as possible (since I didn't do a breadth in Semester 1 of 2018, I can take three now!) We'll have to see though ~

Edit 23/01: Decided on a Psychology major, which requires both Developmental and Biological Psychology. For now, I've decided to push Personality and Social Psychology to 3rd year, and Developmental Psychology is under the "Science/Breadth" for me.
