Yea, year 11s can't do 3/4 methods. Year 10s can do a units 1/2 language (outside of school), but other than they don't allow year 10s to do any 1/2 subjects.
Wow, that really sucks considering that macrob accelerates methods and nearly all elite private schools.

=13th of March 2017=

-really didn't do much
-more bio revision: finished up transcription and translation; just have a bit more to do for photosynthesis then im done
-did a bit on updating quizlet bio terms
-finally found some articles about vce stressing kids so i think thet topic should be okay
-should probably go to sleep earlier because school.
-should also complete physics questions... yeah I'll do that now  :P

That's excellent to hear about the chemistry questions! :) Quizlet was quite literally my best friend when trying to remember important stuff, so sharing them will be really swell! ^_^ (I put all my old ones into pdfs and into the notes section, because I did a massive cleanout last year, haha).
Exercise is really good way at keeping fit and healthy during VCE, I'll be cheering you on to encourage you to go on! :)
Hopefully you do find yourself with a really interesting topic for your oral, let us know what you end up doing.
Ah, right! I totally get you there. It's good to have some like that to focus on, which isn't school-related. I love listening/watching podcasts/videos that come from my own church. :)

Yeah, this is my first time actually using Quizlet and already seems like a great substitute for real cue cards! Going to try and keep it up as a routine to update it. Exercise is something I've been trying to get myself to do more often especially that P.E is no longer compulsory when you enter VCE so just trying to keep everything in balance. Oral topic is very.. open in the sense that we have endless options to choose from but I think I'll go with 'VCE stressing students to a lethal degree.' or somthing along those lines. Yeah, church and youth is always a nice break. What church do you go to Insanipi?

LOL I love this reasoning - meta af. :D How long's the oral? (I always feel so ignorant when it comes to English 3/4 haha.)

Nice! That sounds pretty slick. What's your role in student parliament? :)

Hey Joseph41, oral is minimum 4 miniutes maximum 6-7 minutes but it's only 1/2 so I don't think I have too much to stress about and in student parliament, I'm just one of the vice house captains. Once in a lifetime opportunity so I might as well have taken it. c:

UPDATE: changed oral topic from the correlation between stress and VCE to the need of increased awareness for mental illnesses.

March 14th

Got my Chemistry Quiz on galvanic cells back today...got 53% (9/17) and so upset...cried most of the morning.
The thing is I know how to do the questions and I can do them all at home, it's just that when I'm doing it in test conditions at school I freeze up, get nervous and have mental blanks. It's such an easy topic too... :'( And it was meant to be in preparation for our SAC which started today. I am SO worried. I'm aiming for 40+ and have no idea how I'm going to do that.. :'(

I'm glad you like Quizlet! Not only do you have the option for digital flashcards, you also have mini "games" that are made out of your flashcards, which is a fun way to study too! ;) Exercise is always important, especially as it is mostly forgotten about during VCE, so I'm cheering you on, keep going! ;D I go to a church in the Western suburbs (because that's where I live, obviously :P ), but sometimes life does get in the way, so sometimes I just watch the video broadcasts instead. :)
That is indeed an interesting topic! Let us know how it goes.

I hope your eco SAC went well. What are you studying for history?
Going for a run is good fun! Definitely always go for a run, when you have the time! :)
How's further going?

What's the topic in methods? How's methods going for you, anyways?
I hope you're coping with the workload, Nat! :)

You'll be okay! I'm sure you can break through that freeze and smash the SAC, I really do believe in you. :)
I'm also confident you can get that sweet 40+, try not to doubt yourself! :)

-I got my Methods test mark. Usually I do better in the tech-free but for this chapter I got 50% for tech-free and 78% for CAS allowed '-_- Overall I'm very disappointed in myself
-I also did the practical part for my Bio SAC. It was so confusing because it was my first time doing a practical SAC. I'd rather have an assessment based on theory which has questions rather than a practical (I am so no an independent learner)
-On Thursday I have the written part of the Bio SAC and right after it (with a half an hour break) I have an English text response SAC for This Boy's Life. I hope I do well in both
-The next two weeks I have an Informatics SAC going for five periods, which I for some reason am looking forward to
But...I'm going to try my best and be optimistic because there is no point in making myself lose motivation, and I don't want to spread any negative vibes here. Just stay strong everyone and try your best! I'll write again next time, though I'm not sure when that will be...

Hi insanpi,
I'm starting cubic polynomials this week, looks so much harder than quadratics, which was anyway pretty hard. Need to work harder in methods ;)

Do you reckon chem is harder than physics at 3/4 level

Do you reckon chem is harder than physics at 3/4 level
Good luck for chem and physics, you'll ace them ;)

For me physics is way harder than chem. Idk why, but chem comes more naturally for me, whereas physics is a real struggle.

- Had an Othello workshop at school today -  didn't like it that much.
- Did some bio. We have a prac on friday about photosynthesis and I'm actually looking forward to it. M
- I have a spesh quiz tomorrow and I'm scared. My teacher is going too fast and I'm not able to spend enough time on spesh because of my 3/4s.  :(
-  My teacher forced me to do a debate on Thursday which means I'll have to skip tuition
- A friend's bday is next week and I don't know what to get him :/
- I have my first bio SAC pretty soon.  ::)

Don't worry too much about 1/2s, as long as you understand the content you'll be fine. Good luck for your bio SAC! (Such an awesome subject)

All this differs for different people. Some people say physics is easier than chem, whereas I find it a lot harder than chem. Personally I find methods way easier than physics, but it might be different to you.
