Orientation I think is worth going, as much as I'm nervous for it and don't want it coming, I know it would be perhaps, the best chance to meet people and start of positive life in uni.

Got this exact thing too, i don't really want to go to uni or anything yet but i know that is the best time.

That said orientation for me is like one session haha, i doubt youd miss out heaps you could make friends during the first week.

^^ after exam parties go off the hardest, then theres green week which is basically a party.

You will make friends to party with (we cant rely on the uni to organize everything for us) and then you can chill and have a drink at the bar...

so it isnt that bad :)

you're meant to go to the one that is the managing faculty of your course, and then you can go to the other one if you want.

but to be honest, neither are compulsory. they are 'compulsory' in that they encourage you to go but if you don't, it's not the end of the world.

They should give you a handout or something to notify of what you're doing/day's program.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

There is a Engineering/Arts party on Wednesday, and also Seven holds their massive o'week gangsta party on that week. Music on Menzies isn't for another week though.
