Scope for tutoring around the Clayton area?

Next year I'm going to be living on campus at Monash University and I was hoping to tutor VCE. I'm not here to advertise or anything, I was simply wondering how many people live around the Clayton area and whether I'd have much luck finding students to tutor.

I come from Geelong so I'm largely unfamiliar with Melbourne, but from what I can tell it seems as if Clayton is fairly isolated from high schools. I wasn't planning to take a car up this year and save a bit in petrol/rego/insurance, but it looks as if I may need to travel a bit to meet up with students and so perhaps a car would be a wise investment.

Could anyone who lives in Clayton/knows a bit about Melbourne give me a quick rundown in what kind of opportunities there may be close by? Cheers :)

You may need a car man, south-east melbourne is not renowned for it's fantastic public transport system.
