✰Update: 1/03✰First day of the month and I'm pretty overdue for another update for this journal. Within the past few days a lot has happened, a little too much for my liking. This week, I'm going to the International Women's Day Breakfast and also Luna Park (thank you Physics!). Also pretty excited to visit the Top Designs exhibition later this month too!
Here is what has been happening outside my school life:
• A lot of photo-editing. No joke, I have about 30 photos to edit in the past few days but it will be so worth it in the end.
• I went to the Japanese Summer Festival at Fed Square last weekend! (And in cosplay too~)
• My Muji pens have run out...
• Had really good Korean BBQ the other day.
• I have been addicted to "Rachie's Kawaki wo Ameku English cover" and I cannot stop repeating it. (I can relate to this song spiritually right now). Also, Sam Luff's Veil and Rumor by Police Piccadilly have been so good!
Also, since you have read this far, here is a photo I finished editing this morning! It's from the Japanese Summer Festival last weekend,
Spoiler
I don't know how the photographer (@tee_do_photo) I work with makes me look good but he does somehow🤣
If you like to support me on this type of stuff highly recommend checking out my IG page @ashmicos~
Ok now onto the school life! This is where things start to derail really badly.
I admit, I haven't looked after myself at all. I feel like everything I do is not enough and that I won't get the scores I need to get my first preference. I really do feel like everything is spiralling out of control, but there are certain subjects right now that are holding it together.
✰Physics✰ (Incoming rant)
Ok, this is the subject that is causing me so much grief and frustration right now. I did a SAC on this last week and I was really down for the following week because I thought I did really badly. Turns out I got lucky and somehow barely got into the 90% - 100%. The score might be on the lower end of the scale, but I'm just really glad it didn't come out any worse. I have another SAC for Physics this Wednesday on Springs and I'm less prepared for this one than the first one I had. I'm not going to lie here, I am absolutely terrified for this. No matter how hard or how much work I do for this subject, I never get a good result for it, I don't know why either and it is taking a lot of time and I'm starting to neglect other subjects that have higher potential.
My main problem with this subject is SPRINGS. I have had so much trouble with them and literally the other day had a nightmare on Springs (it was horrific). I don't understand that when you rearrange formulas for the spring constant, that when you do it with energy and force it comes out with different answers. Also, graphing Energy-time graphs (I understand how to do Energy-Displacement but oh boy energy-time graphs). I am not feeling good for this SAC at all, springs are going to be the death of me at this rate.
Ok there is my rant for Physics done and dusted.
✰PDT✰Why hello PDT my fav subject right now!
Had a SAC for this last Monday and I'm pretty sure I did well in it. We are onto the research stage for the folio and I have begun to print out small sections of my folio one at a time. Will post a few pics when it comes together soon. Our class is having a competition on who will reach 100 pages in their folio first (thanks to this girl who got premier's in 2018 for setting a high standard). I'm about 20 pages in so far which is not too far away from the goal but I'm excited to see who will reach the goal first.
✰English✰Had a SAC last Friday for this and I think it turned out pretty good! It was a creative SAC and I wrote my response in the writing style of Euripides which was challenging (and sort of risky move) but it looks like it worked out. Next up Argument Analysis
✰Chemistry✰Chem SAC in two weeks from now on AOS 1 and not finding it too challenging at the moment. I'm having a bit of problems remembering the Fuels types (have a memory of a goldfish) but everything else is okay. I've had some pretty good results for Chem so far which I'm hoping will be the same for my upcoming SAC.
✰Methods✰Oh look it's Methods, aka the subject I've been neglecting. SAC is in 3 weeks and the content has been really enjoyable (hence why I have barely done any work). Nothing is really happening in this subject, but oh wait I have to run from my excursion from Top Designs and somehow magically get back to school on time to do this SAC. The second last day of term is going to be hectic for me.
That's it for this update! Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
