What Ions do I memorise?

Hi! I'm in Year 11 this year. I do know most of the basic/single element ions but I'm not sure about the polyatomic ones. Is there a list or something with the ions and polyatomic ions I could memorise? Otherwise, does anyone know the ones I should study? Thanks!

Hey, I'm not 100% sure what polyatomic ions you need to remember for HSC, however some common ones I studied in my VCE included:
* \(\ce{PO4^{3-}}\)
* \(\ce{CH3COO-}\)
* \(\ce{CN-}\)
* \(\ce{NO3-}\)
* \(\ce{Cr2O7^{2-}}\)
* \(\ce{CO3^{2-}}\)
* \(\ce{MnO4-}\)

A good way to memorise the ions is to use flashcards/quizlet! :)

I hope this helps a little ^-^
