Hello everyone!
So admissions for the LAT are closing soon and I haven't signed up yet, and I am unsure whether I should.
UNSW Law has the LAT as a prerequisite. Given you perform successfully on the LAT and in conjunction with the ATAR, a place might be granted. UNSW previously had a cut-off of 99.7 for law, which is why they introduced the LAT. There is a fee involved, by the way. The test falls on a day which is 2 days before my graduation. And I don't know if I want to spend my second last day of schooling ever doing a test (on top of the upcoming HSC exams)
I know UNSW is a very prestigious university for law, but I am unsure whether to apply. I would love to go there, but I would need to take a train and bus to be getting there, and I really don't want to take a bus ever again after I graduate
An alternative would be driving, but I'm not getting my Ps until this time next year, which means I would have to rely on public transport.
I know it sounds silly, but the location is a really big factor for me. Can someone possibly give me advice on whether I should apply anyway? I don't want to regret my choice and subsequently miss out on such an opportunity.
My other law school preferences are Usyd and UTS (which are 'only' a train ride away, opposed to train + bus).
