ATAR Notes articles on demand: request resources here!

See our complete database of HSC, VCE and university articles here!

2019: Now taking article requests for QCE, VCE, HSC and university.

As you may or may not be aware, ATAR Notes regularly publishes articles online - entirely free. And that will again be the case this year, for both the VCE and the HSC. ;D

Awesome, right? Absolutely! But do you know what's even better?

This year, we're taking requests.

Want an article about time management? Post here.
Want an article about exam techniques in 2U Maths or Maths Methods? Post here.
Want an article about dealing with SAC results? Post here.

Essentially, it's up to you!

All you need to do is to post in this thread with your ideas. Because at the end of the day, we want to be the greatest help to the greatest number - and what better way to do that than to take requests? :D We can't guarantee that we'll cater for every single request, but if there are consistent themes - well, that tells us pretty nicely that we should be writing an article on that subject. :) So over to you!

Hi Joseph,

I think articles on stuff like setting up a study timetable or study pattern would be useful because I have problems while studying like procrastination and articles like that may help me get into the habit of constantly studying and not procrastinating too much which bad especially if you're in yr 12

I would love resources to deal with 3/4 Ancient History VCE, the few I can find are for the HSC. Also resources with the new 3/4 VCE Bio design.  :)

Hey em.bg,

Welcome to ATAR Notes! ;D

Honestly, I feel your frustration re: lack of resources for smaller subjects with a fiery, fiery passion haha. How big is your Ancient History cohort at school? I don't know of many schools that offer it!

Really great suggestions (both Ancient History and Bio, which would be helpful to a lot of people). Thank you so much! :D

I'm interested in how to take effective notes and advice tailored for specific subjects. E.g] I'm particularly interested in Physics, Economics and Legal regarding those matters.

Another idea is for how to manage external factors in life that can affect your VCE, such as sleeping habits, social life, setting goals, being in a personal relationship throughout the year and working jobs.

I'm really excited to see something like this come into play though!

1) How to write up an Analytical Commentary (in terms of the structure) for English Language. For instance, the basic TEEEL structure can be applied to section C; however, what structure works best for section B? If there could be like a sentence-by-sentence layout of an AC structure for both the 'metalanguage subsystem' body paragraph method and the 'themes/concepts' body paragraph method, that would be soooooooo helpful  ;D

2) Another one for English Language (which can be attached to the quotes forum): could there be a list of all the themes that fall under each Area of Study so that we can search for specific quotes - As a result, we can collate more quotes under more specific sub-branches for each AoS, because at the moment, I (and I assume others) feel that their quotes may not be entirely relevant. I guess these sub headings could be derived from the study design or commonly tested prompts...

Thanks in advance  :)

Also for the CASIO Classpad please! It was my undoing for the Methods 1/2 exam last year and I got a horrible score because I didn't know how to work it (they don't teach us in class)
Please and thank you! :D :D

Hey, I want to become a pharmacist and to get into the course at Monash, I need an ATAR of 95 and over. I did Unit 3/4 Chemistry and Biology in Year 11 and totally blew it. I am doing English, Methods and Health and Human Development and Cert 3 In Christian Studies and I want to score over 45+ for all the subjects. May I please have some tips on how to achieve that goal? Also I want to be able to manage my class and home time better, any tips?

Thanks
Ansu
