Title: Psych teacher?
Post by: lastapasta on August 07, 2019, 07:19:59 pm
I'm wondering just how important an amazing teacher is for a subject like psych, considering I'm not planning on doing any tutoring.

At my school there is one amazing teacher and one notoriously, let's just say, not so good teacher. If I got them as my teacher, do you think I would be disadvantaged and my potential ss would be lowered?

If the teacher is really as bad as people say they are, will I still be able to teach myself and get the score I would if I had the good teacher?

Just a little worried :(

Thanks guys!!

Having an amazing teacher is fantastic for any subject but I would say that in the sciences (including psych) it's probably not as big a deal as an English or hums subject where there's a lot of subjectivity in the writing. Having a not so good teacher is a disadvantage and would make it harder but if you teach yourself any missed content (and maybe ask the fantastic teacher about advice on specific things you want guidance on) you would still be capable of getting a brilliant study score.
