can I still use my atar to transfer uni courses mid year?

I'm really really struggling in my course and most likely won't pass half of the units. My course is very specific so I can't use it to claim credits in other courses. That's not really my concern, but rather I know I will either fail to barely pass, resulting in a low WAM, which is required for many courses. I did achieve a very high atar so I was wondering is there any way to still use that instead of my uni grades to get into a course I'm actually interested in?

I would probably ask the uni you’re intending to get into and your own uni currently. Unfortunately it’s usually the case that uni grades override  high school ones, but between the first and second semesters, ATARs have been known to be used in consideration alongside uni grades...

Good luck!

Go back and apply through vtac again rather than transferring given you can't claim credit anyway. I started uni in 2019 and failed miserably and re applied for 2021 solely on my atar.

Also depending on your uni you may still be able to withdraw without failure from units so they dont count for your wam, although you'll still have to pay for them.
