Spesh unit 2 without unit 1?
« on: May 16, 2018, 01:53:12 am »

I am regretting not choosing Spesh at the start of the year, and now I am hoping to join the class for unit 2.
Is there anything important that I would have missed out on? Or anything that would be a struggle to catch up on?
I am just trying to gauge how much of my holidays would be spent on catching up and if this is a good idea.

Thanks x

It shouldn’t be too hard for you to catch up since unit 1 is quite easy. I believe schools usually cover complex numbers, vectors and trigonometry in Unit 1 which is taken into units 3/4. Its best to talk with your specialist teacher or the head of maths in your school.

In the end of year 10 holidays, I used YouTube videos to cover units 1 and 2 of specialist, so I guess they might be quite helpful in your case. Make sure to do most of the questions from the exteriorise and use the study design as a guide.

Good luck,
