Hi,

I just needed help with this question and if anyone can explain it with working out that would be great.

Question: A potential difference of 240V is used to generate a current of 5A to heat water for 3 minutes. Calculate the energy transferred to the water in that time?

Thanks

Hope this helps! I subbed the numbers into the power and energy formulas. And remember to convert time to seconds! Also you could probably just do it in one step using P=IVt.
