I haven't really started doing anything yet. I have bits and pieces of notes and have printed out lots of exams, but am yet to do any of them.

mmmmmm... cant wait till this is all just over
currently have done about 10-15 practice exams and studied of each of them since the holidays.
The past few days i have just started practice exams on the relevan course design and that includes VCAA ones.

By the way, when it comes to note making here, how exactly do you use your notes?
Do you find the actualy process of making the notes the most beneficial, or do you re-read them etc.?

I am currently reading '50 Genetics Ideas You Really Need To Know' and 'The Selfish Gene' for funsies as my form of studying. They were already on my bookshelf last year/a few years ago so it's not like I went out of my way to get them.  But yeah, this is not good.

I've just been re-reading all my notes, and finding more relevant notes to read and I'll eventually do more practice exams because for some reason I've stopped doing them. Haven't written down any notes at all, when my entire study regime for Unit 3 was writing/summarising everything.

Woo consistency.

Exact same thing happened to me. My advice is at least get notes down on all the 'processes' like transcription, translation, replication, mitosis, meiosis etc. so that you get a clear chronological sense of how to explain them. The rest of genetics and especially evolution is not as important to do notes on. It's either mostly conceptual, or just too ridiculously boring and unstructured.

Also, how else does everyone use their practice exams for study?
Unit three i basically just went through all the questions i got wrong, studied/analysed what i did wrong/whether i needed to consolidate a certain aspect.

But somehow i just seem so underprepared compared to what i was with unit 3 :|
