I've had two subjects change after release LOL

Were they drastic changes? Any idea why results change at all sometimes after release?

One was 92 -> 97 because my lab marks weren't entered
One was 57 -> 83 (!) because they marked only one exam booklet initially out of two

How long after initial release did your marks change? Did you have to email someone about it when you suspected your marks were incorrect?

Does anyone know what the ‘ver’ means on the results page?

Ver is version of the results. These results may be changed to new versions until the actual release date. Although it is highly unlikely that your results change once they are on the results page unless it is something like them forgetting to include portions of the exam or other internal assessment in your score.

Do you have a source for this? Not meaning to be a prick; it's just that "Ver" has been a long-time mystery on AN now, with a couple of different conjectures as to what it means :P

For anyone looking at this thread and feeling depressed at everyone's insane scores: don't stress, they're not indicative of an average student because 1) people tend to only post scores if they're good and 2) AN tends to draw in overachievers. Here's some of my first year grades if you want a confidence boost :D

2016   Semester 1   BIOL10002   Biomolecules and Cells   2   59   P   Pass   12.500
2016   Semester 1   CHEM10006   Chemistry for Biomedicine   1   59   P   Pass   12.500
2016   Semester 1   GERM10006   German 5   2   82   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2016   Semester 1   MAST10011   Experimental Design and Data Analysis   1   58   P   Pass   12.500

(Also, yes, you can get shitty grades and still fix your wam before you graduate)

2016–2018: Bachelor of Biomedicine (Neuroscience), The University of Melbourne
2019–2022: Doctor of Medicine, The University of Melbourne

Hey yall (mainly for second-year students):

Third year so.. hopefully I can answer :P

1. Definitely worse. Subjects are that much harder, and even in third year I'm still trying to arrest a slide in my WAM.
2. Yes, this is possible. It all comes down to the quality of the notes you bring into the exam, and your writing style. Did you follow IRAC? Did you identify all of the relevant principles and apply them? Did you miss out on something?
3. Yes, subjects still get scaled, but this is at the discretion of the lecturer.
:)

For some extra perspective: the average WAM for a commerce student is somewhere between 65-70, whereas a top 3% WAM is about 85. People getting consistently high 80's-90's are inside the top <1% of students.

This semester has by far been the best so far

2018   Semester 1   ANAT20006   Principles of Human Structure   1   84   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   CHEM20011   Environmental Chemistry   1 88   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   CHEM20018   Chemistry: Reactions and Synthesis   2   92   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   PHYS20008   Human Physiology   2   87   H1   First Class Honours   12.500

Don't worry if you've had a bad semester. I failed a subject in my first semester and my WAM has gone from 71.250 to 76.000 to 79.917.

Now that FAT and EPM are out, my full results are:

2018   Semester 1   ACCT30001   Financial Accounting Theory             85   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   ACCT30002   Enterprise Performance Management   86   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   ECOM30002   Econometrics 2                             89   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   ECON30010   Microeconomics                             93   H1   First Class Honours   12.500

was honestly expecting a tad bit higher for Micro but hey, can't complain about what i got. congrats to everyone else for surviving the semester!!  :D

Emailed immediately. Marks changed within a day or two of discovering the issue

2018   Semester 1   COMP10002   Foundations of Algorithms   1   77   H2A   Second Class Hons A   12.500
2018   Semester 1   GENE10001   Genetics in the Media   2   87   H1   First Class Honours   12.500
2018   Semester 1   MAST20004   Probability   1   54   S   WH SP Exam   12.500

This semester was hectic, what with being sick and holding down two jobs. I'm not happy, but I'm not too mad. (Very glad to be retaking Probability when I'm hopefully a little less ill.)
