When should I start buying textbooks for Uni?

I have enrolled in the courses I will study in semester 1 2017. the books required are listed, when should i begin purchasing them?

A month into having started the units.

Give or take a few weeks, if you realise that your lecturer is really bad/so good that you really don't need to bother purchasing.

No, this isn't a joke. Put it off. Uni textbooks are hella expensive, and often completely unnecessary.

Agree with Euler. Usually at the first lecture the lecturer will state what books are required. I personally have been through nearly 2 degrees by only purchasing 1-2 textbooks overall (because they were used as resources during tutorials etc).

Hold off until you start at least - you'll be able to decide then.
Experience in teaching at both secondary and tertiary levels.
