Which is Better for Medicine - English or Literature

To all the Med students:
- Is Literature even accepted as a prerequisite for Medicine at Monash?
- Which do you think is better to do if you want to get into Medicine, English or Literature?

(Btw, I did ask similar questions on the Medicine FAQ but if anyone could please give me more insight into it I'd really appreciate it.
