Yep so this has been confirmed to be May 18.

Good luck with your research @insanipi
I go back on the 26th, which gives me the time to actually find things that are viable to do given the timeline I have including the automatic 4 week extension to the course 😂 (still not enough extension tbh given I haven't been on campus since March 27, I'll be 2 months down haha)

Thanks 😊

Thank goodness Parkville library reopened <3 The other accessible printer I had on campus is out of paper and I need to print urgently 😅

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has done ACC3600/ACF3600 Auditing and assurance, or ACC3100/ACF3100 Advanced financial accounting. Did you find it hard? Was it difficult compared to the earlier accounting units? I've done the two core units, and I'm doing a third now (ACC2100 Financial accounting), so I just need to pass one more accounting unit after this semester, in order to complete a minor. I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks!

Just saw the building A upgrades at Peninsula for the first time today! Looks really nice. Huge new eating area plus a whole new big study space, too.
Saw a reasonable amount of students on campus studying in the library and around - is it currently SWOT VAC? I feel a bit out of sync with timeframes as final year physio doesn't follow the same timeline as the rest of the uni.

I believe it is week 12, which explains why I see a few more people around campus studying I guess

Edit: Also what are weeks :( I don't even get semester break this year haha

I've got a friend who's done them both, and after speaking to him would definitely recommend you do ACC2400 as your last unit for your minor. It's basically accounting in Excel, very chill you'll be able to do better there. Both 3100 & 3600 are tricky units so would not recommend them for just a minor.

Thank you for the advice! I asked about those specific units because they’re both level 3 units. I can’t remember whether I actually need my final accounting unit to be a level 3 unit or not, given the requirements. I’ll check soon, and if it doesn’t need to be level 3 then I’ll probably take ACC2400. Also I’m assuming your friend did the units at Clayton?

Yep he sure did. No worries, good luck with picking your last unit

Anyone else have an invigilated exam? Kinda sucks since I don't have a webcam and have been relying on my calculator for the whole unit but I guess they gotta keep that 50%+ fail rate somehow.

Feel for you yeah same here and mine is also for a unit on which I love to use a calculator to check stuff but it should be alright I hope.

I have a question to do with Nursing at Monah Uni, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but anyway. (Nursing being M2006)

Can someone tell me when they start actual clinical placements at Monash? Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is a hard limit on the number of majors and minors you can take in the Bachelor of Arts. I think I read somewhere a while ago that you can take a maximum of 2 majors, but I couldn’t see/don’t remember any limit for minors. Is this right? I specifically want to know if I am able to take 2 majors and 2 minors, and if I am able to take 1 major and 3 minors. WES does let me add both of those combinations, but I’m not sure if it would stop me from adding too many areas of study in the first place. Thanks!

As far as I know, you're permitted to do both scenarios! I did 1 extended major and 2 minors - different to your scenarios, but as long as you satisfy the requirements for each major/minor you list on WES, they'll all be checked and approved when you graduate. The BA at a minimum needs either 1 major and 1 minor OR 2 majors (all listed under Arts approved areas of study).

It actually might be possible to do 3 majors depending on how someone sets up their course map? I think the degree can only list 2 majors on it though. Minors will not appear on your degree but will appear on your transcripts.

I would still recommend contacting Monash for official confirmation. I suggest using the live chat to save time waiting on the phone.
