COURSE OFFERS

Just a quick question about receiving offers to courses.
If for example my guaranteed atar to get into the course I want is 80 but I got a 79.10 and I didn't get the offer 2nd round in December.
What are the chances of me getting into the course in Jan round one?
Ahhhhhhhh so worried about not getting in :'(

A "guaranteed atar" does not exclude those with atars underneath the number to get offers, it just provides a bit of certainty for what the required atar might need to be. So honestly, it depends on the popularity of the course - how many places in the course are available, and how many people from december round 2 decline their offer. But as your atar is less than 1 point away from the guaranteed atar, I would still think that you have a reasonable chance for an offer in later rounds. :)

Hey!
Its exactly as kauac said. The fact that you scored an ATAR so close to the cutoff means you've still got a good chance of getting an offer. So put that course that you wanted as your first preference and don't lose hope!
Uni's want as many people to come to them. It means they increase their total student numbers, academic prowess and they get more $$$ of course. So i'd say you have a very good chance of still getting an offer.

Good luck!
