Slightly off-topic (completely off-topic) but surely that's not your in your dp??????

It is, and no it's not impressive in the least as it's only 500lb for one rep at a bodyweight of 93kg, while guys 30kg less than me are pulling 200lb more.
I didnt mean official GAT solutions. I meant we can post our own solutions and eventually figure out the correct answer for every MC question. Ugh fine I'll make the thread today and start us off.

Bumping this great thread!

The GAT is coming up pretty soon (Wednesday 13 June, to be precise). Use this thread to ask any questions you have about the GAT, discuss how to prepare, and vent about it after the fact. ;D

There are vocab-related questions so I would recommend this.

(I personally didn't use one but other people have found it useful)

Nah no stress. This is the type of thing I definitely would have glossed over when I was in Year 12 haha.

How are you feeling for the GAT, S200?

Well...
Pretty comfortable really. I did it last year, and I thought it was a pretty accurate representation of my skills, so think this year won't be too stressful...

I have questions about the GAT. Does anyone have any samples of GAT writing tasks 1 and 2 that they are able to send?? That would be great! Also, any suggestions and tips on how to structure task 1? What would each body paragraph be about? How about the intro and conclusion? Sometimes I feel like when you don’t know how to structure it you end up falling into the trap of rewriting the info. I have read a few discussion pages about this. Since you’re not supposed to present an argument or point of view for task 1, how would you do it?

For the first writing task is just rewriting the information you’re given in an organised way? I don’t really get the point of it.

You can try taking a creative view. So if it was bees, write from the Queen bee's POV?

I've heard from a GAT examiner herself that examiners typically do not like creative pieces but they at times do give decent marks if it still achieves the criteria. Not sure though...
