Hi,
How would you approach a primitive and derivative graphing question?
I always seem to get the increasing and decreasing curve confused.
Know the difference between the derivative and the primitive

Going FROM primitive TO derivative:
Primitive increasing -> Derivative positive
Primitive decreasing -> Derivative negative
Primitive stationary -> Derivative at 0 (basically, x-intercept).

Going FROM derivative TO primitive:
Derivative positive -> Primitive increasing
Derivative negative -> Primitive decreasing
Derivative at 0 -> Primitive stationary

For what course are we talking about here

Whoops, didn't realise I hadn't included that. I meant formulas for 2 Unit?

The bunch you absolutely need are all on there. The rest are additionals that you can derive on the spot.

Some of them include, but aren't strictly limited to:
- General trapezoidal rule
- General Simpson's rule
- Area of a minor segment
- Locus - parabolae that don't concave up but concave sideways
- The two other Pythagorean trig identities

I know this is a bit of a weird question, but do you know whether we have scrap paper to do working for multiple choice? Or whether we do it in a working booklet or on the exam paper?

You can do either! Ask for an extra booklet, or just work in the question book :)

Ask for another writing booklet if you need it. Just make sure you put your hand up ASAP so the slow examiners have some time to get to you
