hey
does anyone on this site do BPharmSc.? If so, how many days do you have to go there? and are students allowed to work at home online, instead of actually attending lectures?  I know students must attend practicals but what about lectures?
Thanks   :)
PS - a general timetable would be helpful

Pharmaceutical Science is actually a bit more tight than most other courses - they check the roll (but I'm not sure whether it counts for anything) in some lectures and in most tutes.

No idea about the timetables.

pharmacy -> graduates work as registered pharmacists
phamaceutical science -> graduates work as pharmaceutical scientists. Formulating products such as pharmaceuticals, paints, cosmetics, toothpastes..the list goes on.
in both degrees, graduates find employment within 4 months of graduation. i really want to do pharmaceutical science but the campus is so damn far.  :(

Yep. Tram 19 from Elizabeth Street (North Coburg). It'll take you past The University of Melbourne and to Monash University Parkville.

Pretty sure you can as they do mostly the same units, with more practical stuff on top such as communication and how to dispense drugs etc. However, the majority of the science side is still there so I don't see why not.

It would be competitive due to less positions than in hospital/community pharmacy and you'd probably need more experience to score these jobs. I hear that you may also try to do your pre-reg pharmacy year with an industry based structure, eg; 50% hospital pharmacy/50% industrial. I think CSL (I think this one's through the Royal Melbourne Hospital ... or was it Childrens') and GSK (forgot which hospital lol) offer something like this. Used to be on the SHPA site but I don't think it's there now. I'm unsure whether you can just do an industry placement by itself ... that said, the registration exam is more based on community pharmacy stuff.

Attached something relevant. Notice the person's degrees in the first non-empty slide.

Is it possible to accelerate [finish the course in a shorter amount of time] the course in university, specifically in pharmacy and other related courses?

And, why do first year graduates doing pharm get paid very little?
