Hi! my name is Dooyeon, and I will be offering tutoring in Mathematics Methods and Specialist Maths for 2020

I graduated from Mentone Grammar School in 2016 with an ATAR of 99.75. Currently, I just graduated from Bachelor of Biomedicine (Unimelb), and I will be studying Doctor of Medicine (Unimelb) from 2020

I achieved high results across all of my VCE subjects during my year 11 and 12. I achieved the perfect study score of a 50 (raw)  in Specialist Maths and a 47 (raw) in Methods, and I want to pass on my knowledge/strategies to the current year 11 and year 12 students.

My success in VCE Mathematics demonstrates my complete understanding of the current study designs and my ability to apply difficult mathematical concepts on problem-solving. From my 3 years of tutoring, I know exactly what the students find difficult (and boring 😐) about Methods and Specialist maths.

Many students find maths difficult because it does not simply rely on rote learning. Instead, it requires students to have solid understanding of the concepts and be able to apply their knowledge on different types of questions. This is what differentiates me from most of the other tutors. Many tutors will simply focus on the formulas and rules, but I focus on making sure that my students have grasped the concepts and are able to appropriately apply their understanding to different questions .

Having recently finished the VCE myself, I know how stressful year 12 can be. I will be there for my students to help them making their last year of high school as enjoyable as possible.
