It used to be a bit of a tradition on AN to talk about your preferences and what order you want them in. I'm reviving that tradition for you, Class of 2018.
Those of you who are applying via VTAC this round:
1. What are your VTAC preferences?
2. What are you aiming/ hoping for (i.e. careers/ career paths)? Will you be going headfirst into the world of higher education or taking a break next year?
3. How are you feeling?
With just 6 days to go until VTAC Round 1 offers arrive, the countdown begins...

How are everyone's VTAC preferences looking?
My preferences are as follows:
VTAC preferences
1. 2800328091 - Engineering (Honours) (Monash University, Clayton)
2. 2800328271 - Engineering (Honours)/Science (Monash University, Clayton)
3. 3200332711 - Engineering-Chemical (Honours) (RMIT University, City)
4. 2800626311 - Pharmaceutical Science Advanced (Honours) (Monash University, Parkville)
5. 3200310371 - Science (Physics) - Dean's Scholar Program (Honours) (RMIT University, City)
6. 3200332851 - Engineering-Electrical and Electronic (Honours) (RMIT University, City)
7. 2800328451 - Science (Monash University, Clayton)
8. 2800329401 - Civil Engineering (Honours)/Architectural Design (Monash University, Clayton)
I'm feeling pretty confident about getting my first choice, but if not I do have a couple of backups. Pharmaceutical science was a really late addition, and with a little bit of extra time it might have ended up as my top preference, but I hadn't thought enough about it. Basically the BEng will give me an extra year in which to make a final decision about the engineering stream (or a possible change of course) that I'll follow, which is a big positive for me. Pretty happy about where I am at the moment.
