yup stav are pretty hard and require some thought (atleast the 2005 one was)

not impossible though, but definitely the most laborious...

if we write over the lines allocated, will our responses still be read by the examiners?
i'm rather worried about that because i go over the lines for some questions (e.g. explain.../describe...)
sometimes one line isn't enough to describe the function of something!

They'll still be read. Try to make your answers succint though, so you don't use unnecessary amounts of time on one answer. But yeah, I'm really bad with that. I wrote so much on the Ames room question last year that I had to use the next page. I think I was just repeating myself over and over.

Speaking of visual illusions, they have tested the Ames Room for the last three years. I wonder if they will test Muller-Lyer this year? Most likely. Be prepared people lol.

They'll usually test them both. Maybe both in multiple choice, and one in short answer

Oh, I meant tested in the short answer. They haven't required you to explain the Muller Lyer illusion and the technicalities behind it since the 2001 exam.

I vaguely remember doing an exam by that company last year. From memory it was quite good.

that's what i found. there are a couple of pictures you have to draw eg ames room but other then that i found it quite relevant.
My teacher gave it to us.

Ohhhhhhhhh I remember now! It was the random one with pics LOL. Last year there was this really bizarre picture of an animal (I can't remember what it was) and the question asked you to explain how it learnt to perform a task..it was quite ridiculous. The multiple choice were good though.
