Association:
Classical: UCS is associated with NS to produce CR (same as UCR)
Operant: Association of consequence and a response

Acquisition:
Classical: Pairing of UCS and NS has produced CS and CR
Operant: {not too sure}

Generally they only talk about acquisition and association in CC not OC.

For operant conditioning (just pasted from my notes):
Acquisition is the establishment of a response through reinforcement. The speed with which the response is established depends on what schedule or reinforcement is used. Types of behaviour acquired here are usually more complex than in classical conditioning; sometimes too complicated to be performed completely at the beginning of the acquisition process, so that a simpler version of the target behaviour is attempted and reinforced continuously until it is established (involves shaping)
