Hahaha if you're serious about it tricking you this is amazing and undoubtedly my biggest achievement on this forum. Better retire on this high

Unfortunately it is true.

I only found out when I pointed out to Nina how stupid it is thinking that it is real.

it is indeed the truth, I sure as Heck had a pretty good laugh about it too

@Joseph41 traditionally the fooling part of April Fools is over after midday, so I guess at any point after that?

So my family makes these cookies called snickerdoodles; it's an old recipe and the cookies are basically just flour, butter and sugar with some cinnamon. Anyway, they smell amazing. So like if you wanted to market that smell, would they be advertised as 'snickerdoodle scent' or 'snifferdoodles'?

Did you know that the UK fiscal year started on 6 April? (e.g. yesterday).

Why?  Well, originally it was 25 March as the traditional British new year (marking the day the One Ring fell into the fires of Orodruin and a new, Sauron-less age began).  Then in 1752 due to calendar adjustment Britain lost 11 days, so Treasury moved it to 5 April.  And in 1800 Treasury moved it by another day because of the absence of a previously expected leap year.

Makes our financial year of 1 July - 30 June look positively sane...

Before I moved to Canberra I read this article on the abc from someone in Canberra about why media shouldn’t use ‘canberra’ to mean the government.

At the time I didn’t care, I used to say it all the time, but it’s legitimately weird to see so many election ads complaining about what “canberra” has done.
