Trams stuck in traffic. I've just discovered how slow it can be, and it would have been quicker to get back into the city via replacement bus instead.

Edit: the #82 tram is a trap

Picture this: Your english teacher assigns the class to write an essay to be handed in in a few days during the assessment period. As you have been focusing on finishing off your other assessments, you have not gotten around to doing the essay due at 9am the next morning. But it's fine - heaps of other people said they've barely done anything yet too! So you stay up super late to write out a cracking (jk really bad) response of about 1100 words and submit it first thing in the morning (so it didn't seem like you stayed up late to do it). You stroll into class the next day and you hear the dreaded words... "as only two of you hvae submitted a response and many have emailed me about an extension, I have extended the due date to Monday". Yep. This has happened to me at least 3 times with the same teacher (v scary, hence why I always do the homework on time). Annnnd to top it all of, tuesday comes and your essay is returned. See, that's why you hand it in on time! You get it back first so you have more time to fix it up! Nope, wrong. All that is written up the top is "please cut down to 1000 words".

edit: I used the wrong your, how ironic

ugh... i thought i was the only one!! I did an all-nighter before a v difficult test... and got to class (with racoon eyes) to hear teacher saying that the test had been postponed for 2 days... like WTF? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SLEEP I LOST OVER IT?! *pun intended!*

When you get let down by people who promise to do things, but don’t pull through

Key example: “I’ll promise I won’t be late next time “... is late by 20 min

A series of unfortunate events. Despite the tragedies that befell me, I will remain an advocate of tech.

1. Was allowed to write up prac report on laptop. Decided to cos it's a pain to draw results table
2. Saving doc when laptop dies.
3. Panic ensues cos it's a sac... and auditing... and teacher's suspicions that I would edit doc at home.. and whatnot
4. Rushes home, sees saved file.
5. Takes screenshot of last time doc was opened and current time before sending screenshot and doc to teacher.
6. Made the grand decision to update laptop that night
7. Afterwards, couldn't use keyboard and mouse.
8. Sac was to continue tomorrow.
9. Tried everything under heaven and earth to fix it using touchscreen (thank god for small mercies)
10. At 12:30 am tried last ditch effort to uninstall windows to older version
11. Woke up to a normal laptop.

A few days later...

1. When laptop doesn't charge even though it says "plugged in, charging".
2. Take out charger and put it back in x infinity
3. Laptop says "plugged in, not charging"
4. Take out charger and laptop shuts down (despite having power)
5. Laptop now says 0% and shuts down whenever charger is pulled out
6. Takes out and reinserts battery
7. "Battery not detected"
8. Repeat events 2-7 in random order and somehow laptop can detect battery, but still doesn't charge. Repeat again and battery is no longer detected.
9. Died at school the next day cos all textbooks were as ebooks
10. Remembers that spare battery exists (having bought 2 batteries in case). Problem solved. Just gotta hope this battery lasts half a year, like the last did.

If I could just spend as much time actually doing English as I do worrying about it, I think I could actually do well in it haha. It's not even deliberate, it's like my brain just shuts down as soon as I try and write anything. It's so frustrating. and I'm supposed to email my teacher my essay today but now i have work and I'm not going to be home until 11. I don't think she'll be surprised, I actually want to do well on this SAC though :(

Loratadine is the only one that's ever actually worked for me. I had to start having it a few days ago, I thought I was just getting a cold then I remembered that it's spring haha :'( :'(

It'd probably be helpful, but I can't swallow tablets, ironic considering what I'm doing at uni :')

^ yep, everyone’s different! Loratadine doesn’t actually work for me haha, so I use this nasal spray (Nasonex or something), which is uncomfortable but I seriously recommend it (especially for a particular Pharm Sci student who can’t swallow pills!)

I got one better:
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair...
tbh you're quite the dashing blond ;)

I mean, why cut it when you can flaunt it?
