It's a cafe at one of the shopping centres near me, so making coffees/food and serving people mainly. :)

I spent today doing pretty much nothing... except going to school giving back text books and signing out. I then proceeded to forget to buy the Grad Ball tickets and then had to go back.  >:(

It kept me busy but now I'm so bored it's not funny. Like I don't have anything I need to do but I feel like there's something I need to do? I dunno. It just feels weird not doing anything

You could start your own project doing something that you enjoy so that you feel like you are working towards something and being productive. Some suggestions I have are:
-Learn how to sew a dress/top or upcycle your old clothing, there are some cool ideas on pinterest
-Learn new recipes
-Make cards ready for your friend's birthdays
-Print out some photos and create a scrapbook
-Write a story
-Paint/draw.
-Learn how to do cool hair braids

I had that feeling the day after thesis was due two weeks ago.
I had a questionnaire for just-completed Year 12s to do almost a year ago (link here), which will probably come in handy right about now. :)
The list Owlbird83 has above sounds pretty neat too!

The thing is, green beans aren't actually green. It's the reflection of light and the pigment in the chlorophyll. So does that mean oranges aren't really orange? Or eyes aren't actually blue? Or the world is actually completely monotone and we just pretend that colours are real because we're dreaming and one day we'll all wake up and realise we're not even in year 12 yet and life is a lie.

As a descriptivist, I claim (very oversimplified) that if enough people call a thing "green" then it is "green". And I'm sure the largely descriptivist Oxford English Dictionary would agree with me...

That said, I have always been curious whether other people pointing at the same green thing as me and calling it "green" actually perceive it in the same way as I do. And I don't know there's any way to know that for sure.

Fun fact: I know the adjective aoi used to be used in Japanese to refer to anything blue and green, however, nowadays, they have the word midori to refer to green, although this range is still different to what we refer to green in English. (Here's a Wikipedia link to sort of explain what I mean.)  There are also different boundaries for various colours in other languages too.

Anyway, to get this back on topic: I was actually kind of productive today. Although it's been a quiet period for around a fortnight for me now, I've been able to contact people for various things, help people out and make plans to see people. I even caught a hailstone (it was hailing in Melbourne today). Slowly but surely my life is starting to pick itself up again.

It's slowly sinking in... the fact that the most maths I'll ever do from today onwards is trying to split bills between friends at fish and chips shops.

i am wiped. like totally. i took a sleeping pill last night and it was too strong. i just fell asleep during a study period for about 15 minutes and it did not help. i do not feel like playing 1.5 hours of netball this afternoon and all I can think about is how confusing and impossible these methods questions are.
Someone told me to grow up yesterday. I immediately banned that person from ever riding my unicorn!

Just thinking about all the things I can do after my last exam makes me so happy.
