Writing Task 2

Hi guys! I'm not sure why, but I'm really unsure of how to approach writing task 2... I was wondering if you guys could please please offer how you would approach last year's prompt:
"Most new ideas are old ideas reshaped for new audiences."
"The only way to avoid mistakes is to resist new ideas."
"There can be no progress without new ideas."
"A new idea is often distrusted – until it leads to success."

I understand that we have to present argument but I'm not really sure how to write good arguments for the prompt. I'm so used to writing essays based on books that I've forgotten how to get evidence to strengthen these kind of essays.

Thank you!

I did the GAT last year; I approached it through the lens of a creative story. I can't recall much of it, only that I got 26 raw score in that section... so I don't think what I did was the right way. Dunno if this helps, or no.

Thank you The Cat In The Hat!

When supporting your arguments, what evidence did you use? Do the high scoring essays use examples from the real world and other knowledge?
