Expectations for VCE 2020 :)

Hey team. Going to practically copy and paste a thread from last year on expectations - but this time for 2020! Now that results have been released for 2019, the Class of 2020 and beyond can focus a little more on next year. :)

So - what are you expecting from 2020?

I'm going to kick us off with what I remember to be some of my expectations before starting Year 12, and how accurate they ended up being.

1. VCD will be my favourite subject. Fairly accurate.
2. I'll be at a disadvantage going into HHD 3&4 without having done 1&2. Inaccurate - it ended up being my best subject.
3. I won't be able to deal with the stress of constant SACs etc. Inaccurate (although don't get me wrong, there were some stressful times).
4. Year 12 will be my favourite year of high school. Accurate (thankfully).
5. I'll get smashed from scaling. Inaccurate (I didn't really get how the system worked).

How about all of you? :)

This looks like something that will be cool to look back on next year.

My expectations:

- VCD will be my favourite subject too

- English will butcher me like it always does

- I will really enjoy spesh and physics but hate having to do them through distance education.

- I'll be able to continue working at my part time job throughout year 12

1. Psychology will be my favourite subject.

2. I'll be at a disadvantage going into legal 3&4 without having done 1&2.

3. I won't be able to deal with the stress of constant SACs as they are all back to back

4. Year 12 will be my favourite year of high school due to last year of school and OFC FORMAL

5.Methods or Chemistry will be in my bottom 2.

I would love to see how this turns out at the end of next year!

Expectations:
~ PDT will be my favourite and highest-scoring subject hands down.

~ Methods without CAS will kill me.

~ Physics will be in my primary 4 no matter how many times I say I'm bad at it.

~ I will be constantly stressed and have breakdowns over SACs

~ Year 12 will most likely be the most enjoyable time of my life ;D

It's so exciting imagining looking back at this in a year with 2 3/4 subjects over and done with!

1. My legal study score will be way higher than bio

2. History and legal will be my favourite subjects

3. Methods will be the death of me (might drop down)

4. I'll regret switching from psych to chem at times

5. I'll have regular stress sessions that I chose the wrong subjects

Oooooo I'll try my hand at this.

1. VCD will be my favourite subject (like a few others in this discussion lol)
2. VCD may also be my worst subject as I've picked it up in 3/4 and it's my first portfolio subject.
3. I'll regret changing to Further because of how boring it is (holiday homework has been soooo repetitive ugghh)
4. Legal Studies may just screw me over because I haven't done 1/2 rip
5. I'm gonna question my subject choices as I have done throughout Year 11

Ngl my list is a big yikes but whateeevverrrr

1. I might stop loving chemistry due to the apperent difficulty between 1/2 & 3/4.
2. My Chem grades will drop.
3. I’ll still be averaging 50% in Methods lol.
4. I’ll be at a huge disadvantage in bio and psych after picking them both up in 3/4.
5. I still won’t have any friends or support network :(
6. I will stress about not doing a 3/4 in year 11.
7. I will still be unable to break the 80-85% mark barrier in English.
8. Due to above I may *just* fall short of 40+ ss in English
9. I will bomb all my exams
10. Maybe I’ll have some friends to invite to my 17th birthday next year (plz)
10. I will continue to be extremely miserable but I will, somehow, make it through the end, without doing anything I’ll regret (hopefully)

My expectations for Year 12

- I will regret keeping Specialist and it will be the subject that will give me the most breakdowns

- My Art folio will be worse than I want it to be - but Art will be my best subject

- Year 12 will be one of my favourite years of highschool

- My Chem & Physics grades will drop, as 1/2 was very easy

- I will suffer very much in Term 3 mainly due to SACs (I only have 3 for the whole of Term 1.....)

- I will walk out of VCE in a positive way, knowing that I've done the very best I could.

1. I'll regret not putting anything on my year 12 jacket (I was too conflicted as to what nickname to put on the back of it.... so I just did nothing oops)
2. Literature will be my most fun subject (great teacher, friends in my class, and a subject where the entire skill set is bullshiting??? I'm in!) but also my most stressful and hard to prepare for
3. Chemistry will suck due to my teacher but I'll still do relatively well
4. I'll get my learners!
5. I will make stupid mistakes in the methods exam
