I am taking this subject in this semester.
Are there anyone studies last year?
The assessment said there are about 4000 works for six questions, looks scary.

Hey dude I took this subject, the writing wasn't daunting

The way it worked was 5 days of lectures (about 4 hours a day) and then an essay topic relating to that at the end of the day. There's also a really fun day trip to some forest  (Kinglake iirc)

The guy who taught it also published his own book on forests which has useful info in it relating to the essay questions / lecture material. I borrowed it from the library for an hour and photocopied relevant parts.

I remember thinking I would get a h1 and I took great care in my essays but I ended up getting a 75 and I never found out why lol (emailed the lecturers after results but never got a response lol). It wasn't a bad subject but be aware that if you're going for a H1 it may not be guaranteed...

All the best bud
