Answering the SATs for American Universities

Would it be wise for a Year 12 student wanting to go to America for university to answer the SATs the same year at the HSCs or should the SATs be done only after the atars have been released?

You need to find the dates when the SATs are held wherever you live. Generally though, if you wanted to go to an American university you should've already started the application process 12-18 months ago.

Most deadlines for college application are due during the start of January so for safety reasons, I would do it during the same year as HSC (you don't want to only leave yourself with 1/2 SAT test dates in case you want to redo)
