Hey Mandyk13 and Chemystery
I am a med student at Monash Uni and I've been through the whole UMAT ordeal relatively recently.  I also currently involved in UMAT/med interview training so I've had quite a lot of experience with students in similar situations to you.
Each person prepares for the UMAT in a slightly different way, so there isn't much direct advice I can give you. Please do check out the guide Jamon linked, but if you'd like to talk, feel free to shoot me an email (in my signature) and I can explain a few things/give tips about UMAT, give you my evaluation of different UMAT prep companies, provide free materials etc

Umat is a hard exam and some people have different opinions on whether you can or can't study for it! I think it is possible to study fro the 3rd section and a lot people try to improve dramatically in it because a lot of it shapes or patterns which you can train yourself to improve it i guess

Ive heard of a lot people paying  a lot of money to go to programs like medentry and not finding it useful or helpful but its up to you :)
