I think it's alright, but some go so out of their way to lose their identity.

Jay Sean looks mexican, when he's an Indian called Kamaljit Singh Jhooti.

Also the ladies from Far East Movement do VERY well to make themselves look white.

I won't comment on the song content, if they live in western countries, obviously they can sing whatever they like. Do you think the whole change of identity is enforced by record labels?

EDIT: I think Western Pop = Pop, Eastern Pop is Eastern Pop, at least whilst in Australia.

Asians are slowly getting there, and I'm glad for them. I mean I confess Mike Chang really motivates me to watch Glee, Christina in Grey's anatomy, and I love the guy in Disturbia. But I mean they just add a bonus to an already good show/movie/song.
