I am currently using the cambridge specialist 1/2 maths book but i don't know what chapters i should do because a lot of them seem irrelevant even though i have checked the introduction. What chapters should i do in order? I'm currently doing chapter 15 but it seems like half of chapter is a waste time whilst the other half isn't. It's quite hard for me to filter them all out. Any tips are also appreciated

Hi there. Indeed, there is a bit of Specialist Units 1&2 material that isn't used in Units 3&4. Your teacher should be able to tell you what content you will be learning this year, but if you are working ahead, the most useful parts of the textbook for Units 3&4 are:
> Chapter 1 (all of it)
> Chapter 2 (all exercises except F and G)
> Chapter 3 (all of it)
> Chapter 5 (all of it)
> Chapter 8 (all of it)*
> Chapter 9 (all of it)
> Chapter 10 (all of it)*
> Chapter 12 (only exercises A and D)
> Chapter 13 (all of it)
> Chapter 14 (all of it)
> Chapter 15 (all exercises except H and I)
> Chapter 16 (all of it)
> Chapter 20 (all of it)
> Chapter 22 (all of it)
> Chapter 23 (all of it)

Note: I have purposefully included a few things that aren't tested in Units 3&4 but believe are extremely useful to know. This is because it makes understanding a few things in Units 3&4 a whole lot easier. Nevertheless, I've put a star (*) next to those I've included but aren't totally required.
