Hey can someone help me with this one please? It confuses me alot

A basket contains only apples and oranges. There are three times as many apples as oranges. if two apples are removed from the basket , there will then be twice as many apples as oranges. How many appples and oranges are in the basket? (Algebraic solution please)

In terms of practical algebraic notation, try to use letters that don't look very similar, so I would have used and instead. Trivial, but could be useful to preventing stupid mistakes.

Good point. Maybe and is better... whatever works for you :P. My 0's can look like 6's because of the way I write them :(
