I'm about 100x more relaxed now that it's exam time rather than semester - hope you're all feeling similarly :)

At this point, I think I much rather exams than group reports and orals 😅
It's going to be a stressful week ahead 😅

Good luck for exams all!

I'm about to start 15 weeks of placement - orientation this week, then I start next week. I'm very jealous of you all getting an end of semester break!

Despite that, are you looking forward to the placement?

Yeah, definitely. Feeling reasonably ready for it and even though it's a bit more high pressure than day to day uni I'm excited for the change and really keen to keep on building my skills!

Do you know what you'll be doing on a day-to-day basis yet?

Similar to above, but what's your placement schedule like? Weekdays or 7 days? Week on week off, etc? And are they long days?

Nah, don't know yet. Obviously each day will be different but hopefully they give me an idea of schedules on my first day! I imagine it'll be a mixture of going to meetings, contact with patients (mostly) and some education sessions.

Each placement is a 5 week block, with ~32 hours per week. My first placement is 4 days per week of normal hours as far as I know but some will possibly be 5 days I imagine (with less hours per day). This block is 8am - 4:30pm for me which is a pretty standard time for physio but it's variable depending on where you are and what placement you're doing. It's just a standard work day in terms of amount of hours in a day.

We all do 3 blocks of placement this semester (spread over a possible 5 blocks). Mine are all back to back so I'll have 15 weeks straight like I said above, but some people don't start till later or have a break between their placements.

Sem2 timetables are slowly appearing on the class timetable site

For the first time ever, fac pharm&pharmsci have some of thw class timetables up before the last Tuesday of semester break!
(Spoiler: I'm still scheduled in 5 days/week in weeks 1-4 and 10-12, but some of these of half-days, so consolation I guess?)

Nice all my units went up on Moodle at about 12:30am this morning. One of them was basically all of last year's material though, so needs to be revamped and updated before anything relevant can be looked at from it.
