Literary Techniques??

Hey everyone, again....
So, I have just lightly skimmed over a few examiners reports, and I must say, I have seen a few words that I have never come across in my life. In particular, these happened to relate with literary forms like Pronouncement story, historical events and the like. Would someone out there ever so kindly take the time to compile a list of important and helpful literary techniques/forms?
