Are CSSA Exams the most difficult and why?

Coming from a Catholic high school, our trials are written by the external source of CSSA. From what I have been told and from what teachers have mentioned, these are typically the hardest type of trial exams? Does anyone have some insight on why this is the case, and if not why this isn't the case? Obviously i hope to be prepared in such a manner that it does not matter what test is put my way, yet it would be nice to know what people think of these exams?

They definitely make the CSSA trial papers harder so that students are more prepared for the HSC. Also, I think they are hard as most Catholic high schools are private and have ~higher~ expectations as we pay for our education.

I tried doing some past CSSA trial papers for Maths and took about one hour just answering Question 11 because it was so hard. Did some actual past HSC papers afterwards and it was a breeze.

When I was doing maths papers I found independents papers way harder than CSSA. I would easily take out the absolute in 'most'.

But comparatively speaking it is true to say that CSSA papers are in the upper end of the difficulty scale. Questions do tend to be 'different' and they certainly are 'more' difficult than the vast majority.

i feel this so much, especially for legal. however, after doing a few past papers from other places i've found that while the cssa is hard, there are others that are of the same difficulty, or even more difficult.

as preparation, i'm just doing cssa trial past papers to get used to the type of questions they ask :-)
