Since this is my first time doingt the GAT I guess I kinda underestimated how hard/vague it is and I don't think I did that well... loved the maths questions but hated everything else lol
I am really freaking out.I did a creative piece both this year and last year, you are fine to do this and I have heard a lot of people say that they favour this approach to the information. Don't worry, I'm sure everything that you did was great!
For task 1 I used all the information in a creative way- like it was a bunch of people about NASA talking about mars.
But people are saying you couldn't do a creatiev piece.

Hey guys,
For question 1 MCQ, did you guys get option D:Veterinary medicine?
I wrote mine as if I were a presenter for NASA at a exhibition. So f*ckin satisfied. #EccentricSalSame, except I wrote an interview with an Astronaut working at NASA.

Some of those questions were really fun! I liked the chemical one and the shape simultaneous equation one.For the proverb question, did you choose “Delay is the antidote of anger.” I felt that was the odd one out. I can’t remember the question number lol.

It's not great but it was enough to save me 10 or so minutes
yes I did
everything was about time and how there's no tomorrow or something yeah?
oh no I did that whole thing wrong . . . I just explained in an informative tone everything that was on the two pages
fuK
Some of those questions were really fun! I liked the chemical one and the shape simultaneous equation one.I put 34 as b because I subbed in x=1 into all the simultaneous equations and the square=3, circle=5 and triangle=-2

I got the dog's owners. I assumed they meant the owners weren't looking after the dog well (therefore the dog wasn't happy) and so the dog never wagged his tail. He physically could, but didn't want to.
EDIT: for the first writing piece I wrote about a man who was going to coordinate an expedition to Mars. I'm not sure if I did it 'correctly', I feel mine was on the more creative side than informative, although I tried to include majority of the information they gave explicitly.
I put 34 as b because I subbed in x=1 into all the simultaneous equations and the square=3, circle=5 and triangle=-2
Whoa, "eccentric" was that a reference to something (possibly a multiple choice question) lol, yeah I did the same I said I was presenting at an event called the "National Space Conference 2019" and I was telling people why they should get excited about Mars exploration for the future.
You don't have to write creatively, as long as you didn't present an argument it should be fine.
Just to confirm for writing task 1 you were supposed to present all / as much of the info as possible in ur writing? Bc someone I know presented none of the info and said u dont need to and Im,, confusion
You were supposed to present the info - it says so in the instructions
WTH how do you guys remember every single answer you gave for each MCQ!?
What did you guys do for Writing Question 2? I just wrote a piece discussing one of the topics, I dunno if that is what we are supposed to do though.
I got to take my booklet home (one with all the questions), every student is allowed to, did you get yours? What? I didn't know, how can I get it now?
What? I didn't know, how can I get it now?
I didn’t do any of the writing or reading questions cos my 3/4s are maths/science — did I screw myself or will my results be unaffected?
I left all the writing completely blank and just guessed ‘c’ for the English MCQs
