For the last financial question, is it 150 or 99 months? I'm seeing split answers everywhere.

Hi guys I don't really know anything about how study scores work for further so I wanted to see if anyone else knew.
I got a 40/40 in exam 1 and I think I will get 58/60 in exam 2. I was in the top 5 of a strong cohort with around 100 people.
Could that get a 48 or 49?
Definitely in the range of a 48-49 if you get those scores and your cohort does reasonably well

I got 150, but don’t trust me on that one. after all I messed up the extrapolation question 🥴

Could you have also just used CAS to calculate the slope?

Can someone confirm this? Could we just use the a and b value from CAS reg function?

thanks heaps. looks like i lost another mark forgetting to convert the 0.3% from the 3 standard deviations question, and i wrote (age)^2 instead of (mean age)^2 in the regression equation. today def isn't my day, do you think i could lose marks for the regression mistake?

I don't think so. The question specifically said to "use the two points" which were given, thus you had to calculate the slope based off those two points.

Hmm.. yes I think you will lose a mark for that as it specifically said the MEAN age, not just the age. In the same boat as you, lost a mark on the extrapolation question as well as the standard deviation question.

Hi guys,
what did y'all do for the question where they gave two points and asked to use it to find the equation of the line?

ahh which question was this, was this the one where you had to write the equation of the line in the boxes to like 3 sig figs or something, i cant remember the question now im scared lol

Hey guys, I was just wondering
I've averaged about 96% and I think I'm ranked third in my cohort, but for safe measure, I'll just say 5th or something out of about 70 students. If I got 40/40 for exam 1 and 57/60 for exam 2, what study score could I be looking at? I was really hoping for a 44.

I would be thinking something like 47-48 (so highly likely to be above 45 assuming your sacs stay around the same score).

Really? I thought I'd be looking around a 43-44
